Chiropractic

In 1895 Daniel David (D.D.) Palmer coined the term Chiropractic which is made up of two words. The English word “chiro” meaning hand and the Greek word “praktikos” meaning practical.

  • At its core chiropractic is a practical hands on approach to understand and influence the nervous system.

The nervous system is the observer and coordinator for every muscle, organ, and cell in the body. The brain is the control tower of the nervous system. It receives information, processes that information and relays instructions to all the cells of the body through nerves. Interference with these instructions at any location can lead to poor or absent communication, resulting in an endless variety of symptoms. Utilizing our knowledge of anatomy and physiology chiropractors employ many skills including the chiropractic adjustment to assist the body by reducing neurological interference allowing the body to properly heal itself and remain healthy.
